Project Overview:
EnviX – Enviapac consulting team has supported a Japanese trading company in Vietnam in chemical categorization in accordance with Vietnamese Law and Regulations. The company specialises in both domestic and international chemical trading activities. We also prepare SDSs and labels in Vietnamese for the imported chemicals.

Implementation Method
We conducted a legal compliance assessment regarding the import, export and trading activities. The evaluation was based on key documentation, including:

• Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals
• GHS categorization
• Composition details (substance names, CAS numbers, concentrations, etc.)
• Company’s activities (import, export and domestic trading, etc.)

After the documentation review, we categorize the chemical based on the Chemical Law (06/2007/QH12) and its guiding regulations, such as Decree 113/2017/ND-CP, Decree 82/2022/ND-CP, and Decree 57/2022/ND-CP, etc. The categorization results were integrated into a chemical management list for the client; therefore, determine the legal compliance for the company.

We also prepare the substance’s SDS and label for the client upon request. It shall be prepared as guidance in Circular 32/2017/TT-BCT and Circular 17/2022/TT-BCT.

Our service enabled the client to systematically organize essential information for all chemicals in their portfolio and identify those subject to specific legal regulations, such as:

• Toxic chemicals
• Conditional industrial chemicals
• Restricted industrial chemicals
• Hazardous chemicals along with plans for prevention of and response to chemical emergencies
• Chemicals subject to import declaration
• Industrial precursor chemicals

etc.
