Enviapac Ltd. conducted a project to assess the compliance with Environmental & Chemical regulations in 3 Japanese manufacturers of paper and cardboard packaging in Vietnam.
Our consulting team in Vietnam carried out a pre-assessment review by collecting essential information and documentation related to the Environmental, Chemical management. This included Environmental Impact Assessments, Environment license, Environmental Protection Reports, Waste disposal report, Greenhouse gas Inventory report, Chemical Lists, Chemical Incident Prevention and Response Measures, chemical safety training records, etc.
We also conducted on-site assessments/ audit at the client's facility for one day per site. This process involved a detailed review of relevant documents, interviews with responsible personnel and workers, and an on-site inspection of management practices, including the production line, utility area, hazardous waste storage, wastewater & air emission treatment systems, chemical storage & usage, etc.
After completing the assessment, we provided clients with a comprehensive report outlining key findings, non-compliance issues, recommended improvement measures, and additional consulting support to address any concerns.
Our compliance assessment framework was based on the latest legal updates, which were particularly significant at the time of project execution (2025). In 2025, Vietnam’s environmental regulatory have some Amendments to articles of government's Decree & Circular on elaboration of Law on Environmental Protection (72/2020/QH14) such as Decree 05/2025/ND-CP and Circular 07/2025/TT-BTNMT were issued.
Notably, in 2025, new National Technical Regulation on Industrial Wastewater (QCVN 40:2025/BTNMT), domestic wastewater (QCVN 14:2025/BTNMT), industrial emissions (19:2024/BTNMT) are going to be effective from 2025.
In the field of chemical management, Amendment 1:2024 QCVN 05A:2020/BCT National technical regulation on safety in production, commerce, use, storage and transportation of hazardous chemicals will effective from 2025.
Besides this, regulation on environment protection fee of air emission is on effective
Through this project, we helped clients systematically review their management status while ensuring they stay up to date with the latest legal requirements in environmental protection and chemical management.
