Project Overview

We supported a Japanese chemical trading company operating in Vietnam in creating a comprehensive chemical management list and categorizing chemicals in accordance with Vietnam’s Chemical Law. The company specializes in importing and distributing industrial chemicals sourced both locally and internationally.

Implementation Method
We conducted a legal compliance assessment regarding the importation, trading, storage, and usage of the chemicals handled by our client. The evaluation was based on key documentation, including:
- Average import volume per shipment
- Maximum storage capacity (chemical warehouse)
- Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals
- Composition details (substance names, CAS numbers, concentrations, etc.)
- End-use purposes (resale, direct usage, etc.)

Following this review, we categorized the chemicals based on the Chemical Law (06/2007/QH12) and its guiding regulations, such as Decree 113/2017/ND-CP, Decree 82/2022/ND-CP, and Decree 57/2022/ND-CP, etc. The categorization results were integrated into a chemical management list for the client.

Value for customers

Our service enabled the client to systematically organize essential information for all chemicals in their portfolio and identify those subject to specific legal regulations, such as:
- Conditional industrial chemicals
- Restricted industrial chemicals
- Chemicals subject to import declaration
- Industrial precursor chemicals

Additionally, we helped clients establish a compliant chemical management system and related procedures, ensuring seamless and legally compliant business operations in Vietnam.
