Project Overview

Green and Blue Planet Solutions Co., Ltd. (GBP), a subsidiary of EnviX in Thailand, was entrusted by a Japanese manufacturer to conduct an Environmental Due Diligence (EDD) – Phase 1 for Manufacturing of production, refurbishing automatic parts in Hanoi, Vietnam. The client was considering acquiring the facility and sought a detailed environmental assessment to evaluate potential risks and the overall environmental value of the site before proceeding with the investment.

GBP collaborated with Enviapac Ltd. consultant team to conduct the manufacturing assessment based on the international standard ASTM E1527-21 (Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Process).

We carried out a comprehensive review of the factory’s operational history over the years, combined with an assessment of site topography, current environmental conditions within the factory, and the surrounding and adjacent areas.

At the same time, we evaluated key environmental management factors, with particular attention to factory operations and neighboring activities that may impact soil and groundwater, as well as the level of compliance with applicable environmental regulations.

The assessment was conducted through a combination of document review and analysis of historical records, regional topographical data, on-site inspections, and interviews with relevant stakeholders both inside and outside the factory.

Based on the applicable standards, Enviapac prepared a detailed assessment report highlighting key findings and practical insights for our client.

Value for customers

Through this project, the client was able to identify potential environmental risks arising from the facility’s historical operations as well as its current operational activities.

In addition, we provided a comprehensive overview of the factory’s legal compliance status and clearly explained relevant legal requirements in Japanese.

To support the client’s investment decision-making process, we also shared in-depth insights into applicable legal sanctions, penalty regulations, and the current law enforcement landscape in Vietnam.
